Buddy Teen Fitness
Program (B.Y.O.B.)
Age 14-18
Sign up with a Buddy or make a buddy during this free six-month
fitness program for teens. Participants will learn how easy it is to
incorporate fitness into their lives with the purpose of adopting
life long healthy habits. Participants who fulfill program requirements during the three-month program will be eligible for a free six-month membership to Berkshire South. Teens are required to maintain a certain amount of hours per month in physical fitness and participate in community volunteer opportunities. All paperwork must be complete in order to begin. Action Adventures Afterschool emphasizes strong beliefs in children’s capabilities and the freedom to express their individuality in a way that will build a life-long foundation for excellence and success. Children are encouraged to discover

Jr. Architect Program Grades 5-8

Middle School students at Monument Valley Middle School and Southern Berkshire Regional School District will be able to participate in this dynamic Architecture workshop program.
Students will design a personal/social space such as a study/hobby/club house, by coming up with their own needs/wants for the space, locating a real site for it, then drawing plans to scale and building a cardboard model. Students will learn about sustainable architecture and the design process, while incorporating math, geometry, social studies, visual, oral and written expression. Program funding provided by the Boston Foundation for Architecture.
$75 for all participants.
Story Weaving Grades 5-8

Experience the magic of a story book coming to life in this artistically creative program. Students let their imaginations
take over as they invent their own stories, co-create and reenact original storylines with the group. From selecting your favorite characters to acting out their narratives, the finished story will be compiled into a booklet that the students can add to their libraries! This class teaches children how to use their bodies and confidently interact with others through games and fun. Basic
