Explore NOAH (New Opportunities for Achieving Health) through workshops and wellness programs presented by The NOAH Center at Berkshire South. NOAH programs meet either at Berkshire South’s main building or at our Jenifer House Commons location at 420 Stockbridge Road in Great Barrington, a short distance from Berkshire South’s main building off Crissey Road. Women’s Support Group

Weekly for 6 weeks, starting early September, date and time to be determined.
An opportunity for women age 60 and over to talk, listen, learn and laugh with peers exploring the issues, challenges and joys of older adulthood. Topics include physical changes, retirement, health concerns and new paths to be taken. Limited to 8 participants

SoundPlay: Freeing Your Voice From the Ground Up

Free your voice in playful yet practical ways for speaking and singing. Experience yourself as a “being of sound.” Accessible to all, including families, and a lot of fun!
Bhavani Lorraine Nelson, a professional singer-songwriter and 23-year Kripalu Center program director and teacher, has taught voice for nearly 50 years.

Tools and Tips to Address Your Stress

Get to the root of your stress and the perceptions that increase and prolong it. Learn calming, stress-relieving practices including meditation, breathing techniques and stretches to help transform your life. Bhavani Lorraine Nelson, a 23-year Kripalu Center program director and teacher, has practiced and led meditation and stress release practices for over 40 years.

Tai Chi Balance & Flow

Whether you are coping with back pain or stiffness, can’t sleep, or want more energy, this class will soften muscular tension and improve your range of motion, flexibility and balance through standing or sitting movements and gentle yoga with music.
Lydia Wong is the author of the award winning Yoga Chi Fusion DVD and has taught internationally for over two decades.
