Preschool Director
Seeking a highly motivated, professional and experienced preschool leader with prior administrative/staff supervision experience for our preschool program. Candidate must have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with parents, staff, and children on a daily basis. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, providing the highest quality program that meets all state licensing requirements; supervising, hiring, and training a group of dedicated teachers; promoting professional development and implementing an age appropriate curriculum. Responsible for planning, operations, funding, budget, supervision, outcomes and outreach. This is a full-time, year round benefited position.
Candidate must be Massachusetts State certified Preschool Director 1 or 2. Candidate should have 5+ years experience in the field of early childhood education. Please send cover letter with salary requirements and resume to apply to Human Resources.
Lead Preschool Teacher
Immediate opening for a Lead Preschool Teacher for Sunshine Preschool at Berkshire South. Approximately 35 hours per week, M-F. Interested candidates must be EEC Lead Teacher Qualified and have at least 5 years experience. Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Preferred. Part Time Custodian
Seeking a responsible & experienced individual for a part-time custodian position. Must be professional, reliable, customer service oriented, and have the ability to lift 60lbs. Past experience required. Position begins immediately. Approximately 16 hours per week, weeknight shifts. Please fill out an application and return to Center to apply.
Childcare & Homework Ctr. Positions
Qualified individuals needed for Early Drop Off & After School programs at Berkshire South, Muddy Brook, Farmington River and Monument Valley Homework Center sites. Individuals must have proper experience relative to position openings.
Positions include Site Coordinators, group leaders and assistant group leaders at each site for the hours of 7-9am and 3-6pm M-F. Position requirements range from high school diploma through Bachelors degree and experience ranging from 3 months – 9 months with school age students. Weekend Lifeguard
Seeking a professional certified lifeguard for weekend shifts. Individual must possess current Red Cross certifications (or equivalent) in Lifeguard Training/First Aid and CPR/AED for Lifeguards. Hours: Fridays 5:30-8:15 p.m. & Sat/Sun 8:15am-12:30pm. Position available Sept. 4.

Volunteer Dance Chaperones:
Berkshire South is seeking chaperones for our 6th-8th grade dances. Dances happen once per month from 7:00-9:00pm. What a great opportunity to channel into the energy of our youth!

Berkshire South is always looking for community volunteers to help us with small, medium, and large projects. We are currently looking for volunteers for upcoming 92nd Street Y lectures, special events, community garden help, dance chaperones, administrative assistance, and more!
